I have been working with Allie for the past year on chemistry, and now math. Last year, I was having a really difficult time in chemistry, so after being referenced by a friend, I decided to try calls with Allie. I had never had a tutor previously, so I was a little nervous about the idea. But call by call, concepts that once seemed impossible to me became reachable. By always keeping our calls lighthearted, and making fun acronyms that related to me, Allie helped me to conquer intimidating topics much more easily. There is so much to love about Allie. She is super flexible and always does her best to fit time in with you, even if it’s a super last minute call. Allie is consistently super honest, she works with a student’s perspective in mind, and she gives incredible advice on how to excel. Overall, my favorite thing about Allie’s tutoring is how she always makes sure to really explain concepts, and build foundations, instead of simply going through problems. Allie is a true blessing to anyone who knows her and I’m so glad to have her in my corner.

Allie is so knowledgeable in chemistry and makes complicated concepts much easier to understand. My grade significantly increased after starting tutoring sessions. Allie has a very sweet and outgoing personality that makes tutoring fun!

Allie was fantastic! She built her mentoring time around what my child specifically needed to help raise his scores. In only 2 weeks of tutoring his SAT score went up 110 points! I HIGHLY recommend!

From the parents…

My son did not do as well as we thought he could on his initial ACT test. As soon as I reached out to Allie, I knew we had found the perfect tutor. She is extremely smart, well organized, and hardworking as well as very connected to what she needs to do to best help your individual child. She went out of her way to discuss my son's struggles and understand what approach she should take to make sure each of their meetings was impactful and would resonate best with his style of learning. She is open to conversations with you about what your thoughts and concerns are - or to just discuss current progress. We did a mix of in-person and online sessions. I was not optimistic about the online tutoring, as my son struggles with ADHD, but the sessions were equally beneficial. She is extremely easy to follow and great at communicating and explaining. It's a perfect set-up for getting your child the help he or she needs to do better. I couldn't recommend Allie more. Everyone I have recommended her to has raved about their success and how much help she provided.

Allie did a fantastic job teaching my 8-year-old granddaughter, Emilia, how to read. She has ADHD, and after completing the first grade of elementary school, we noticed that she had problems with reading. During the first lesson, Allie discovered Emilia’s interests, what books she enjoyed, and what she would like to read. Allie kept up with her interests by always bringing the perfect book for each lesson. Emilia immediately loved Allie, and she was able to keep Emilia focused and interested.  She could not wait for Allie to come for the next lesson. The 8 tutoring sessions gave Emilia enough knowledge and self-confidence that she now accelerates in reading at school and likes to read books to her younger sister at night. Allie has a wonderful attitude with children and know how to motivate them to read and keep them engaged.
